India’s leading International Furniture Exhibition – INDEX  TRADEFAIR 2009, organized by Universal Expositions, was held at MMRDA Exhibition Center, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai, India, from 18-22 September 2009. It also marked the 20th anniversary of the organization’s founding which has grown and progressed successfully over these years.

The exhibition boasted 4 halls with a total of 242 exhibitors comprising 175 from India, 44 from Italy, 6 from Malaysia, 4 from Spain and 13 from other countries. Products on exhibit were furniture, lightings, kitchen & appliances, contract furniture, office furniture as well as international furniture of high quality. Buyers were mainly local buyers which comprised 45%, followed by 15% oversea buyers, 30% architect & interior designers and 10% from others.

Mr. Johnson Chua, Project Executive, represented EFE at this renowned fair and had an audience with En. Noraslan Hadi Abdul Kadir, MATRADE Trade Commissioner to Mumbai, India. MATRADE will promote EFE 2010 in India and the region.
